WOODWORKING INDUSTRY

Svitovyr Company has extensive experience in the woodworking industry. We work closely with woodworking enterprises, develop, modernize, automate and provide service to enterprises. We implement product quality control systems and production diagnostics (search for bottlenecks, defect analysis, work efficiency).

The woodworking industry unites enterprises engaged in the harvesting and processing of wood and other forest resources. It combines: logging, woodworking, pulp and paper and wood chemical. Enterprises of this industry produce consumer goods, and finished products are used by the construction industry, agriculture, food industry and other industries.

The woodworking industry includes the following groups of industries:
- industries that carry out primary wood processing (sawmills, sleeper sawmills);
- secondary processing of wood (parquet, plywood, furniture, - chipboard, matches, standard houses and parts, etc.);
chemical and mechanical processing of wood (fiberboard, wood plastics).

The share of the forest and woodworking industry in the entire industrial complex of Ukraine is quite low (less than 2.5%), the industry does not meet the needs of the national economy and the population in many important types of products. This is due, first of all, to the limited raw material base: low forest cover (14% of the country's territory is covered by forests), the predominance of forests with limited operational value, small timber harvests.

The needs of the industry are covered by its own resources only by a third, the rest of the wood is imported. The largest volumes of production are in the furniture industry.

Today, the industry suffers from a lack of technological equipment for the creation of new capacities for the production of grinding tools and abrasive wheels for sharpening saws at industrial enterprises in Ukraine.
